Take Flight
Quick! The enemy has invaded the castle and is out for the King's head. Set down traps to hold them back, collect pawns while avoiding obstacles, and flee the castle before they catch you!
This game is split into two phases that repeat infinitely. In phase A, you will use pawns to buy traps and place them on the board to stop the enemies, which are listed on the right. In phase B, you will fly as long as you can while collecting pawns for the next round.
Controls:
PHASE A:
Use your mouse to interact with the shop and place traps. The list of enemies if given on the right side of the screen. Spawn the enemies with the button. When all enemies have been eliminated, walk to the exit using [WASD] to proceed to Phase B.
PHASE B:
Use [WASD] to fly around. Avoid ducks, projectiles, and fire walls, and collect as many pawns as you can. Once you die, you'll fall back down to the ground.

I really like the noir aesthetic and gameplay loop. Right now, it seems like using a single optimally place spike trap does the trick, but I can imagine this being really fun with a fleshed-out progression system. Nice job!
